The Artist After learning the basics of painting from his father, portrait painter Stanley Gordon, and studying privately with portraitist Everett Raymond Kinstler and Margery Ryerson ("The Art Spirit"), Kevin Gordon has earned numerous awards and has had his work added to public and private collections in the U.S. and Europe. He has exhibited in and been represented by Grand Central Galleries in New York, The Francesca Anderson Gallery in Boston, The Turner Gallery in Denver, Ra del Rey Gallery in Madrid, Spain, as well as the National Arts Club and Salmagundi Club in New York. Gordon's portrait clients include novelist Mary Higgins Clark, industrialist David H. Koch, Boston University, Columbia-Presbyterian Hospital, Columbia University, Dartmouth College the Groton School, M.I.T., Providence-Portland Medical Center, Superior Court of Connecticut, the University of Michigan, the University of Portland, the Sociedad Espanola de Reumatologia and many others Gordon and his paintings have also been featured on "Oprah", in "Travel and Leisure" magazine, "Reader's Digest", the "New York Daily News" and "Spotlight Magazine". He is also the author and illustrator of books, including the best-selling "The Good Cigar", "High Spirits", "The Perfect Pipe", "Kickers", "21: Every Day Was New Year's Eve" and the "Survey of Historic Costume".
